An historic cathedral city, Norwich lies 185 km (115 miles) north east of London. It actually boasts two cathedrals – Norwich Cathedral and the Roman Catholic Cathedral – and retains a significant heritage of medieval buildings. In more recent years it has also become a University City, with the nearby University of East Anglia lending an enormous boost to its cultural life.
